Can you imagine a long conversation with somebody from Galicia, followed by a chat with an Argentinean, then an interesting exchange with somebody from Andalusia? Additionally, whenever necessary, the participant can count on grammar and pronunciation classes. It's no exaggeration: this is the day-to-day at Pueblo Español, a total immersion program where 'only Spanish is spoken'.
During a stay at Pueblo Español students take part in many activities, which help them to gain confidence, as well as improve their level of Spanish. The main program activities consist of:
- One-to-ones: This is the star. A Spaniard converses with a student for 50 minutes. After that time, they rotate, and the student pairs up with another Spaniard with a different accent, different background, different point of view.
- Breakfast, lunch, dinner: At breakfast, lunch and dinner the linguistic immersion continues. Two students are accompanied by two Spaniards at each table.
- Telephone sessions: Sealing a business deal, preparing a contract, clearly communicating your opinions on a new project... and all of this by phone. These are just some of the things covered in our telephone session activities.
- Conference calls: These are group telephone meetings that allow students to converse with Spaniards at different locations. This dynamic exercise is yet another way students will increase confidence.
- Presentations: During the week all students prepare and give two presentations.
- Role plays: Being able to see the funny side of things is helpful when it comes to learning a foreign tongue. Every evening, the whole group gets together for some fun and laughter in the meeting room sessions, which includes jokes, role-plays, theatre skits and sketches.

The most common way to learn a language is through traditional classes, but this is not the only path.
Conventional classes are comparable to flight simulators: they show you the way to manage the plane and how to use the navigational equipment; they familiarise you with the controls and they try to replicate real-life scenarios. Classes can provide the theory behind a language, but they have their limitations. It’s outside the classroom where one is able to experience what it is really like to fly.
The program we provide combines flight simulation with actual flying. We give your three options, and you create the course according to your availability and needs.
- Pueblo Español 8days - This immersion program provides the exposure that is needed to reach the next level: This is a course where Spanish flows organically, not just mechanically. Professional people of distinct ages and backgrounds provide diverse conversations and a wide variety of accents.
Who will be learning Spanish?
SPANISH LANGUAGE STUDENTS
They are often professionals with different ages, nationalities and backgrounds that want to improve their Spanish quickly. This immersion program is also an excellent opportunity to network.
Who are we going to practice Spanish with?
NATIVE SPANISH SPEAKER
The people in charge of exposing you to as much Spanish conversation as possible are native Spanish speakers, as opposed to teachers. Through a rigorous selection process, we group individuals from a variety of professional backgrounds and ages, signing up people from all over the Spanish-speaking world.
You will be in contact with these "tutors" for 15 hours every day. The formal part of the program is mainly based on 50-minute conversation sessions with each one of the tutors that come to Pueblo Español. These will be alternated with group activities and social situations so you can get used to the different accents and stimulate the student’s listening comprehension skills (For those students with lower Spanish levels, we will alternate one to ones with the Spanish-speaking tutors with classes in individual or group sessions)
Who will be in charge of running the program?
STAFF
In Pueblo Español, two members of our staff accompany the group for the duration of the program. The Program Director is there to make sure that all of the participants feel at home and to make sure that everything runs smoothly. The Master of Ceremonies is in charge of making every hour of activities dynamic and productive. They offer advice on presentation skills, organise group activities and motivate students to take part in a short theatrical show.
In this program, the students hear and speak Spanish with an intensity that cannot be found in any other part of the world. Not even in your own language do you talk so many hours in a day! The daily interactions in Pueblo Español include breakfast, lunch and dinner, 'one-to-one conversations', conference calls, role plays, presentations and theatre. Needless to say, the student is subjected to a non-stop barrage of the language worth several months of traditional classes.

Would you like to make the most of your Pueblo Español immersion course? We offer you the opportunity to be more than ready for the experience by taking 20 hours of class over a four-day period.
This will be the perfect training, and –since you´ll be in Spain 4 more days- will give you the opportunity to get to know Madrid’s most singular spots!
Details:
- Pueblo Español starts on Friday (July 27th and August 14). The classes will be held on the four days previous to each program.
- 20 hours, from Monday to Thursday. 4 hours per day.
- All of our teachers are native Spanish speakers.
- Practical and dynamic group classes, according to each level.
- The classes include Grammar Practice, Vocabulary, Listening and Speaking.
- This intensive course will be held in our office, which is located very close to the Madrid city centre.

The classes are not mandatory, but we strongly/highly recommend taking the whole Spanish classes + Pueblo Español pack in order to make the most of your learning experience.
